I don’t really know if I have to address anyone specifically in this little impromptu-ethereal-speech-bubble. Just in case. Dear Everyone….., except you there with that stupid T-shirt. Anyway (by the way this is my favourite word as well as ubiquitous and saternine), this is drernst’s ordinary weblog Stardate 15 Sep 2007. I suppose I’ll put down a list and can then be miss quoted by all them crazy folk out there.
List 1 – How to control your heart rate when confronted with a raving lunatic…
1. make sure that you are not looking in the mirror
2. follow basic life support guidelines – make yourself safe
3. gently massage your carotid body (there are some contraindications to this but I’m sure you know them)
4. if 4 fails, quickly submerge your face in a bucket of cold water which you obviously carry around with you (yes the one with the beer)
5. if 5 fails, press your thumb against your eyeball (all of the above mentoned procedures stimulate your Vagal Nerve which will hopefully slow your heart rate slightly (not guaranteed though))
6. now you have sorted yourself and that warm wee sensation in your pants make you feel like Christmas at your in-laws,
7. you plunge a every ready syringe of haloperidol/lorasepam into the raving lunatic’s upper outer thigh
8. the raving lunatic will now calm down and became katatonic/dystonic (or not)
9. leave the scene or sleep on the couch if this is your partner.
I suppose something more intellectual is called for.
I have just finished reading Fight Club, the nihilist Bible for fatherless boys. There that summarized that.
Trying to slog through Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, but not as gripping as Oryx and Crake.
I do find myself reading more, especially on the Tube in the morning. Reading is like drinking, you can do is almost anywhere, it’s socially acceptable and it is a mainstream form of escapism.
There I have said escapism and now I have to elaborate…or not. I’ll rather give you my top five list of Sci-Fi movies…
Top 5 SciFi Movies I can remember now…
1. Aliens
Can’t think of the rest now. Give me a break this is my first blog.
Still a bit scared of sharing what’s inside my head……Shame ne^.
Ciao
